Nuts and Bolts of Hiring in Today’s Healthcare Industry
As a key player in the medical services field, you and your professional staff are facing significant change in the economy and workforce demographics that has made traditional methods of finding, hiring and retaining top talent more challenging today.  With this and other issues that are unique to the medical services industry, BNKJ and SunTrust Bank and are pleased to invite you to participate in our inaugural Healthcare Industry Roundtable made up solely of your peers – CEOs, COOs, CFOs, controllers, accountants and human resources personnel in metro Atlanta medical services.

This new quarterly program is being formed to cater specifically to the needs of all the financial, operations and human resources members within the healthcare industry. With years of servicing many healthcare delivery organizations and medical practices, both BNKJ and SunTrust have developed an expertise in medical finance, accounting and taxation matters that cuts across all specialties. With the help of our first speaker, Gay Lowry of Medical Management Solutions, we welcome the opportunity to bring together a group to share our experience and your ideas on similar business issues, planning, operating and accounting oversight issues common to the industry. This roundtable is an effective way to learn from others and implement new ideas.  As one of the leading groups bringing healthcare finance together, we are delighted that Georgia Chapter of HFMA is also a co-sponsor for this first program.

The first complimentary luncheon program entitled “Nuts and Bolts of Hiring in Today’s Healthcare Industry” is scheduled on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.  Talent comes in all shapes and sizes so please join us as we will discuss and provide you with the tools necessary to identify, hire and retain quality employees.  Like any employer, medical practices and hospitals must find a match between their needs and the talent of applicants.  But frankly, talent is only one dimension.  Every practice has its own culture and the trick is to find applicants who can do that job, but more broadly fit your culture.  As most tasked with hiring will tell you, it’s a lot easier said than done, and every one of them can tell you horror stories associated with mishires.
